ClearOne Set for Conferencing Coup
The budget can quickly turn contentious, as IT is typically stuck with hands tied and a shoe string budget. But it’s not just IT; organizations from around the world are faced with this issue – getting the most from investment. ROI is of the utmost importance, as when companies select a solution it should last, and perform as expected. A technology delivering on its value proposition is conferencing, and all signs point north for this resurgent space.
ClearOne (News - Alert) is making a successful foray into the video conferencing space. In creating a robust portfolio of video and audio conferencing options, ClearOne is projecting to ride the high market projections in the coming years.
"Leveraging our strong base in installed audio, ClearOne continues to strengthen its video portfolio to effectively complement its audio business. By developing a comprehensive and unified audio video conferencing portfolio at affordable prices, as compared to high-end room systems, ClearOne is able to offer enhanced value to its customer base," asserted ClearOne President and CEO Zee Hakimoglu.
Recently, Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert) released the “Global Audio Conferencing Endpoints Market, Forecast to 2021,” which highlighted ClearOne’s dominance in the installed audio conferencing space with nearly 54 percent market share in 2016. Additionally, I’d expect this number to grow over the next few years. The market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 3.5 percent from 2016-2021 offering opportunity for those providing pocket friendly audio systems.
"With the proliferation of video in huddle rooms and large meeting spaces, incorporating video in an enterprise collaboration bundle seems to be a logical extension route for audio conferencing endpoint vendors like ClearOne," noted Frost & Sullivan Unified Communications (News - Alert) & Collaboration Industry Analyst Vaishno Srinivasan.
ClearOne doesn’t quite have the market cornered, but it certainly in a good position. Building on its audio conferencing expertise and creating a more complete portfolio is a recipe for success. Only time will tell what lies ahead.
