Phonism Supports Avaya Open Standards
Piecing together an exceptional unified communications deployment can prove quite difficult at times. Working with multiple vendors, melding components together, integrating this with that to create a solution fit to meet requirements. Well, this seemingly herculean task need not be so daunting thanks to partnerships and development.
This week, Phonism made deployment a bit easier. Phonism announced simple onboarding of Avaya (News - Alert) SIP phones for service providers, as it now support’s Avaya’s new open standards. The two IP phones in focus are the J129 IP deskphone and the B179 SIP conference phone.
“Avaya is one of the most trusted brands in Telecom, and we couldn’t be more excited to be providing service providers with the easiest solution to manage and deploy these devices,” Steve Lazaridis, CEO, Phonism
The true differentiator here is the user friendly deployment, configuration and management. Phonism is brand agnostic, as it currently supports Yealink, Polycom (News - Alert), Cisco, Avaya and Grandstream.
As VoIP continues its rise to ubiquity, it is only in recent times that provisioning and deployment is earner developer’s due. Phonism is creating an improved end user experience, and offering service providers an easy value-add in addition to reduced churn.
“Phonism provides service providers with a cost-effective, value-added service that makes it easy for service providers to configure and deploy Avaya SIP phones. As we continually look for ways to drive complexity out of operations for our customers and partners, Phonism enables a streamlined approach that speeds time to service for greater customer satisfaction,” Mark Monday, Vice President and GM, Engagement Platforms, Avaya.
Like the saying goes, “there’s no second chance for a first impression.” So, when you buy that nice shiny new, feature-rich and future forward UC system, and provisioning the IP phones creates headaches, it says a lot. The open era is here, take advantage.
