AudioCodes Nets New Distribution Partner in Nuvias
Demand is on the rise for feature-rich and user friendly unified communications systems (UC). UC is now an integral tool to a firm’s business operations, as it serves to enable not just collaboration within a team, but also the necessary tools to communicate and engage with prospective and current clients. While the first step is selecting and deploying a UC system, a firm must not forget the importance of an exceptional IP phone.
With a focus on Skype (News - Alert) for Business and Broadsoft UC markets, AudioCodes announced a new distribution agreement with Nuvias, which advances its EMEA UC business and makes Nuvias the master distributor for AudioCodes’ (News - Alert) portfolio of Skype for Business and SIP phones. The arrangement allows for Nuvias to offer end-to-end solutions, as well as technical support for Broadsoft and Skype for Business environments.
“Nuvias combines technical UC expertise and in-depth market knowledge with excellent commercial management and logistics, and importantly, is able to deliver this consistently across EMEA,” said Arieh Shemesh, who heads up global channel sales operations at AudioCodes. “Nuvias also has existing strong relationships with service providers and specialist resellers that will open up new opportunities for us to expand our business and market share in Europe.”
The early stages of the partnership will focus on 16 countries where Nuvias already has a strong presence, and plans to expand from there. AudioCodes joins a number of vendors working with the burgeoning firm, and as Nuvias continues its growth spurt, the channel and its partners reap the spoils.
Steve Harris, EVP Unified Communications (News - Alert) for Nuvias (and formerly Managing Director of SIPHON), noted, “With AudioCodes’ advanced SBCs and popular, intuitive handsets, we are now able to offer complete Skype for Business and BroadSoft solutions from a single vendor. We will also benefit from AudioCodes’ strong global relationship with Microsoft (News - Alert) and will be working closely with their certified partners, making maximum use of our comprehensive suite of Microsoft UC professional services to drive product sales. With growing interest in unified communications we want to work with our channel partners so that their customers get the most out of their investment in technologies such as Skype for Business.”
Assembling a robust unified communications system can easily feel like putting together a jigsaw puzzle with a couple pieces missing from the box. End-to-end, this can certainly be a daunting task, but as partnerships continue to permeate the landscape much of the heavy lifting is alleviated.
