Obihai Brings Additional IP Phones to Bicom Offering
Whenever a new version of anything comes out, it can be assumed that there are going to be at least a few noteworthy changes. Whether it’s an update as simple as bug fixes or a major operations overhaul, newer versions are bound to change the way the product is used, hopefully for the better.
Bicom Systems (News - Alert) is gearing up to release its PBXware version 4.1.2 in the coming weeks. At first glance, it’s hard to imagine how PBXware could be improved further, since it already includes so many ideal features. PBXware supports a wide range of PSTN and VoIP technologies and includes features such as Hot Desking, Call Screening, ACD Queues, IVR Auto Attendants, Conference Bridges, CRM Integration, Least Cost Routing, National/Global voice networks, and much more.
Since 2003, PBXware has been providing SMBs, enterprises and governments worldwide with flexible, reliable and scalable next generation communications systems. Now, with the upcoming PBXware 4.1.2, Bicom hopes to take its offering to the next level by offering even more options.
To this end, Bicom has teamed up with Obihai (News - Alert) Technology, Inc. The hope is that this collaboration will allow Bicom to introduce even more IP phones to the upcoming version of PBXware. The newest Obihai IP phone models will integrate seamlessly with PBXware.
In fact, auto provisioning and certification have already been completed on two new Obihai telephones: OBi1032 and OBi1062. Obihai’s most popular model, OBi1022, plus analog phone and fax adapters (ATAs OBi300, OBi302, OBi504 and OBi508) are already supported on PBXware version 4.1.
Eldar Avdic, lead engineer at Bicom Systems, commented on the process, saying, “Thanks to the ongoing collaboration of Obihai, we can guarantee full interoperability of their telephones with PBXware 4.1.2.”
Obihai was an obvious choice for Bicom to collaborate with, as both companies have very similar missions. In short, their goals are to provide the best possible communications to customers around the world. By making Obihai IP phones compatible with PBXware 4.1.2, they’re one step closer to reaching that shared goal.
