Telinta, Polycom Partnership Propels Auto-Provisioning

The communications provider space is busy, to say the least. It is a competitive arena, where those capable of offering reliable, high performing and cost friendly solutions can differentiate from the pack. Taking this a step further, once a cloud-based communications solution is implemented, what about endpoints? What about IP phones? Well, this week Telinta provided an answer that offers ITSPs and the enterprise a seamless, user-friendly deployment.

Telinta (News - Alert) announced this week that it partnered with Polycom to make IP phone deployment and provisioning as quick and easy as possible by creating Auto-Provisioning Profiles for a number of Polycom (News - Alert) phones.

The cloud-based VoIP solutions provider is adding to the Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Server Provider’s (ITSP) value proposition, most notably toward the enterprise. In creating profiles for SoundStation IP conference phones, sever VVX IP deskphones and several other Polycom IP phones, Telinta empowers ITSPs to automate a Polycom deployment leveraging Telinta’s cloud-based softswitch platform.

“Telinta’s automated provisioning solution can significantly streamline deployment for ITSPs, which may otherwise require making costly trips to the customer’s premises,” said Alex Ferdman, CEO of Telinta.  “This collaboration between Polycom and Telinta can help ITSPs of any size to better compete by using the power of the cloud.”

The Auto-Provisioning Profiles are core to Telinta’s TeliCore softswitch platform, and once IP phones are connected to the network and entered into an ITSP’s inventory, they are connected to the platform, can download the necessary components for provisioning and, in short order, are ready to rock.

As a component of the provisioning process, ITSPs can enable business processes like customer management, billing and call routing. In addition to the ability to activate and deactivate features, the platform empowers software updates to ensure all firmware is up to date.

A communications and collaboration experience starts with the platform, but concludes with the IP endpoint. This maturing partnership puts ITSPs in a powerful position, bringing together top tier solutions to promise exceptional experiences and services for the enterprise.
