Centerpoint IT Brings Allworx IP Phones to Users
The growth of the mobile workforce in the last few years has done some noteworthy things to business operations, starting with the biggest issue of an increased demand for mobile communications. This is one front that Internet protocol (IP) phones are rushing to fill, and recently, Centerpoint IT noted it would be offering the latest devices from Allworx (News - Alert): the Allworx Verge system.
The Allworx Verge is a “mobile-first” system, meaning that it has several new features geared toward mobility, not so much that the devices specifically are mobile. These are desktop phones, but these are also able to readily accommodate mobile devices by serving as a bridge of sorts between the desktop and the mobile platform. The Verge works to provide value not only as a home base operation, but also as a mobile system, allowing for things like speed dial and corporate directory options, as well as real-time contact sharing and instant handoff between the Verge and a mobile device.
Throw in remote control capabilities thanks to the Allworx Reach program, as well as several call status and call supervision tools, and the true value of Allworx Reach becomes clear. Not only is it useful stationary, but it's also useful as a routing point for mobile operations, giving users the best of all worlds instead of having to make a false choice between the best of mobile and the best of standard.

There's a lot of value in mobile operations. Being able to engage in face-to-face operations regardless of location, being able to restructure a schedule around the rest of life, and even being able to operate during power outages in some cases are just part of the package. As the tools to engage in such behaviors have evolved, a great many competitors have stepped in to offer the best in services for this growing market segment. Allworx certainly has a worthwhile proposition to offer users here, and for Centerpoint IT to bring Allworx devices to its customer base suggest that Centerpoint believes in Allworx sufficiently to make it available.
That's good news for Allworx, for Centerpoint, and for the customers of both. All sides of this arrangement see benefit, and that's how the best business moves come around.
