MegaPath Lands Award in IP Phones

December 16, 2016

Though Internet protocol (IP) phone giant MegaPath (News - Alert)'s cap was already looking sufficiently full of feathers to mistake it from a bird at a distance of about 30 feet, it recently landed one more such feather, taking home the 2016 Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Excellence Award from the Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC)'s annual awarding.

TMC gave the nod to MegaPath in the unified communications (UC) category, a nod to the company's advancements in the field of IP phones and other UC tasks. The award more specifically went for MegaPath's MegaPath One system, a tool that offers a staggering variety of services in one handy package. It not only boasts audio and video calling available on a one-click basis, but it also adds presence tools, instant messaging options, screen sharing, and Web-based real time communications (WebRTC) functions.

Better yet, not only does IP phone giant MegaPath offer all these tools in one place, it can also offer these on a variety of devices, from desktop to mobile, even tablets. Plus, it integrates smoothly with a series of different third-party applications ranging from Outlook to Skype (News - Alert) for Business. Since it offers one Business VoIP number for access, it essentially allows its users to take one device and turn it into a complete UC operation, whether it's in the office or out, making it a great choice for supporting a mobile workforce.

MegaPath's chief marketing officer Arnaud Gautier commented, “MegaPath is honored to receive the Internet Telephony Excellence Award once again for its Unified Communications (News - Alert) service. MegaPath One allows teams to be unified like never before, addressing the industry demand for a full-featured unified communications solution that enables employees, regardless of location, to quickly talk, chat, meet, and collaborate via multiple platforms and devices.”

While MegaPath One may not be the name in IP phones that, say, NetTalk is, it's still delivering some impressive values for the business user. The business user often has much higher-scale needs than the regular user does, and MegaPath One certainly seems to provide those systems. The sheer versatility of it all makes it a winner on several levels, and a good chunk of why TMC (News - Alert) gave it an award. With the growing mobile workforce needing a way to readily keep in touch, MegaPath One has set itself up well as the new do-it-all communications system of choice.

Versatility is a selling point that's hard to pass up; when it only takes one app to do the job of three or more, that app becomes highly valued for its efficiency and ease of use. Switching from one specialty tool to another to do a job can be a pain, and that's a pain the award-winning IP phone giant MegaPath is taking out of our day.
