Japanese ISP Biglobe Goes with BroadSoft for UC
In a country where the adoption of technology is very high, such as Japan, interoperability of communication solutions is highly valued. For ISPs, providing services that bring mobile and fixed device together seamlessly for businesses is a must. To deliver these capabilities, Japanese Internet Service Providers (ISP) Biglobe has selected BroadCloud's UC-One solution so it can offer its small to medium-sized enterprises mobile and business Unified Communications (News - Alert).
Biglobe is one of the largest Internet and mobile service providers in Japan, and the company is looking to address a new segment by offering UC to businesses. The service is going to be delivered as part of its Biglobe Phone (News - Alert) Biz solution in Japan, which will include fully functional cloud PBX capabilities for office phone environments and BYOD to address the mobility.
"We are very pleased with the momentum of our BroadCloud and UC-One offerings in Japan and are looking forward to working closely with Biglobe as they deploy the service throughout the country. There is a definite shift underway in Japan in the small business communications market, and innovative companies like Biglobe are at the forefront of this change," said Jonathan Reid, managing director, Japan, Asia Pacific and South/Central America, BroadSoft (News - Alert).
With UC-One, Biglobe will be able to give its customers the flexibility to work no matter where they are on their mobile device. This platform provides an integrated business communications solution designed to improve daily workflows without having to be tied up to the desk.
A suite of cloud communication and collaboration solutions will give Japanese SMEs integrated business phone services, messaging and presence, audio and video conferencing, screen sharing, file sharing, virtual meeting rooms and more. So employees can access company resources from anywhere.
The voice features for mobile delivers PBX (News - Alert) like functionality, such as auto attendant, hunt groups, call recording, visual voice mail, one number service and others so callers won't know if you are in the office or on location. And when you are outside of the office, BroadSoft's UC-One lets you take it with you. You can organize your workflow by integrating all of your favorite apps in one place, and the corporate directory can be accessed to carry out voice and data communications.
The BroadSoft ecosystem was developed so service providers can create their own solutions. In the case of Biglobe Phone Biz it was designed and deployed on the BroadCloud platform in a little over four months. And according to BroadSoft, the same project could take more than a year with a conventional design. The company's BroadCloud platform is a Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) that provides the flexibility needed to create new lines of services with faster times to market using its UC-One unified communications applications.
