Apivio Successfully Completes Interoperability Testing with BroadSoft

November 09, 2016

Digital technology has introduced a level of flexibility that is allowing employees to work from virtually anywhere, making the office an option and not necessarily a requirement. For manufacturers of communications hardware, mobility integration and interoperability with other platforms is essential to address collaboration and remote work capabilities. The successful interoperability testing of the Monet Series UT880 Android (News - Alert) desktop phone from Apivio Systems with BroadSoft (News - Alert)'s Business BroadWorks call control platform now makes its phone available to BroadSoft global customers in the telecommunications industry.

BroadSoft provides cloud-based unified communications telephony solutions, and it currently has more than 600 service provider customers, which include the top 25 of 30 providers in 80 countries around the world. The company also enjoys a 41 percent market share in the cloud-based PBX (News - Alert)/UC sector. With this type of penetration, having its Monet Series UT880 Android desktop phone interoperable with BroadSoft will introduce Apivio to a global customer base of service providers.

Rob Bakshi, President and CEO of Apivio Systems Inc, said, "This announcement reinforces our strategy to diversify our North American business operations by giving the BroadSoft extensive network of dealers and service providers the ability to include our leading-edge enterprise VoIP solution into their service and product offerings. BroadSoft represents a huge new channel for Apivio's current and future products, starting with our UT880s."

Apivio can now reach telecom service provider customers, resellers, integrators and other channel partners that are part of the BroadSoft ecosystem to sell or deploy BroadSoft Business compliant equipment.

The Monet Series UT880s line is an Android-based smart desk phone that has a 7 inch TFT LCD with C-touch screen, a 1.3 MP front camera for videoconferencing, HD voice with G.722 and video call, 4 GB NAND, 1Gb DDR3 SDRAM memory and more. The system uses Android-based applications just like a smartphone, which can be downloaded from Apivio's App Store for enterprise specific apps.

"This announcement reinforces our strategy to diversify our North American business operations by giving the BroadSoft extensive network of dealers and service providers the ability to include our leading-edge enterprise VoIP solution into their service and product offerings. BroadSoft represents a huge new channel for Apivio's current and future products, starting with our UT880s," stated Rob Bakshi, President and CEO of Apivio Systems Inc.

According to Apivio, this next generation Monet series smart VoIP phone is designed with software features and applications for cross-platform compatibility, enterprise connectivity and user productivity which can be upgraded as new solutions become available. These features, combined with the interoperability of BroadSoft, makes this phone a valuable communication solution for today's workforce.
